What to expect when working with Ethan on a Project

1. Initial Contact and Project Discussion
   Let’s get to know each other! In our first conversation, we’ll gather all the details about your project. We'll discuss the goals, location, scope, and usage of the images. We’ll also talk about any other interested parties who might want images, as cost-sharing can help reduce expenses. Additionally, we’ll determine the ideal time for the photoshoot and any specific shot list you may have.

2. Estimate and Proposal
   Once I have all the necessary details, I’ll provide a detailed, itemized estimate. This will cover creative fees (reflecting my time and skill, including client meetings, site visits, and preparation), licensing, and applicable local/state taxes.

3. Confirmation and Contract
   After you review and accept the estimate, I’ll send two things via email:

   1. An invoice for 50% of the total as a retainer to secure the project.

   2. A contract for you to sign. This process is quick, simple, and all handled electronically.

4. Scheduling and Preparation
   Once the retainer is received, we’ll schedule the photoshoot, and I’ll send an architectural photography checklist to help you prepare the site. We can discuss styling details, such as fresh flower arrangements or colorful fruit, which can enhance the ambiance and final images. I’ll also work with you to ensure the space is ready for the shoot and that all necessary preparations are in place.

5. The Photoshoot Day
   On the shoot day, my goal is simple elegance—no gimmicks or distractions. It’s just me, my camera, and some lighting. I take the time to truly understand the space and capture it in the best light and at the right angle. Whether it’s waiting for the perfect sunlight or capturing those fleeting after-sunset moments, I’m patient and dedicated to creating images that reflect the space’s true essence. My process is all about collaboration, ensuring we achieve the vision you have for the project.

6. Editing and Delivery
   Editing is included in my pricing. While every project is different, I generally deliver final images within 5-10 business days (often sooner). All edits are done by me locally to the highest standards—I do not outsource my editing. The final images will be delivered electronically in high resolution, along with any other necessary sizing you may need.
